Water decals and glitter gradients, oh my!

I found the Electropop collection at the Industry Source a few days ago and decided to give them a whirl. While they don’t look that unique to me, they do have some beautiful colors. I picked up a few, along with Techno, the glitter that came with the collection. (It’s a re-release so if you missed it go grab it, though beware, it’s a perfect dupe for OPI Servin’ Up Sparkle!) 

I wanted to give the water decals that I bought on eBay another try, and I think this one went MUCH better than the ones here. I started out with two coats of the new Electric Beat, it’s a fabulous dusky blue (I thought it would compare to Secret Periwinkle but it’s not the same at all), once that dried I dabbed on a thin layer of Sinful Colors Pinky Glitter, Sally Hansen Strobe Light (which is a dupe for Teenage Dream!) and topped it with Techno.

Orly Le Chateau

While on vacation you know that I was actively looking for new nail polish, what kind of addict would I be if I didn’t?!

I found a Sally that still had the entire Orly Holiday Soireé collection on mega discount so I snatched them all up. This is Le Chateau which is a blackened teal jelly; at one coat it’s still very streaky and you can tell it’s a true teal. Two coats and it starts to darken to a blackish teal, and at three (as pictured) it’s almost impossible to tell it is a teal. I should have left it at two, lesson learned, though I’m not upset at it, it’s still beautiful.
