Hi there! I’m D’Anna and Not Another Nail Blog is my baby.
NANB was born from a need to have a creative outlet for myself, and to also share my love of polish with other color fanatics.
My mom and I used to collect nail polish when I was little and she would paint our fingers and toes. She always stuck to the safe nudes and champagnes while my grubby fingers were always neon yellow or blue. Well not much has changed there, except for the fact that my fingers are not that grubby anymore… I still gravitate to the neon yellows and blues, always looking for the unique shades.
I first started blogging about polish on Wednesday May 18th 2011, and I haven’t stopped since. What started out as a simple way to catalog and swatch my collection has turned into a full fledged love affair with polish.

I have worked in various forms of radio broadcasting for as long as
I’ve been able to hold a job (and interned even before that!). In the
summer of 2011 I was made redundant and couldn’t find an open position
in my field. That’s when I decided to make it official, I went to beauty
school and got my license in 2012, and I haven’t looked back. Now I
don’t have to worry so much about finding work when my husband and I get
deployed to new duty stations.
I’ve been asked a few times if I have a professional camera, and while I would love to own one the answer sadly, is no. I use a Samsung WB150F, with the ISO set at 100 and on Macro setting.
